Small Daffodils 7

Critiques

I sure had a good time this afternoon. I set up my lights and a white background. I played with a variety of leaves and leaf skeletons I’ve been collecting. I experimented with juxtapositions of colorful leaves and their almost calligraphic counterparts, varying the distance, arrangement and depth of field. It was great.

I've been a photographer professionally, an art teacher professionally, a ceramic artist occasionally, a watercolorist once in a while, and am also fond of quilting, knitting, needlepoint, writing songs and poetry, and doing random acts of kindness and hilarity. The photography business I had petered out, so I have a job helping out elderly people in their homes so they can be more independent.

None of my work is stock, so do not use it as if it were. It is all copyrighted. Period.

For me, photography is an act of worship, of honoring God for giving me vision, and of providing the people I photograph with glue for their relationships.
